Litigation Support/Forensic Accounting Manager

Position Summary

As a Litigation Support/Forensic Accounting Manager at MBAF, your responsibilities will include planning, directing, and completing projects and services in litigation support, and forensics and developing and managing staff. You will work closely with partners and staff on client management, practice and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for large and complex litigation engagements and overseeing multiple engagements at a time.
  • Supervise engagements and special assignments; review reports and financial analyses; and communicate with clients.
  • Prepare complex financial analyses and damage estimates.
  • Draft economic damage calculations and reports or other expert reports for senior management review.
  • Resolve issues with clients relating to report content or format.
  • Assist expert in preparation for deposition/trial.
  • Evaluate work product for compliance with professional standards and firm policy.
  • Develop and monitor budgets on individual engagements.
  • Supervise operation of database of litigation cases.
  • Stay current with new developments in litigation theories, methods, and case law precedents.
  • Responsible for supervising staff and displaying innovative leadership.
  • Prepare client proposals and participate in proposal meetings and conference calls.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, International Business or related field
  • Must be certified in Financial Forensics or have CPA or CFE license
  • Minimum of two years of experience in litigation support, business valuation, or forensic accounting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites
