International Tax Senior Manager

Position Summary

As an International Tax Senior Manager in MBAF’s Private Client Services group, your primary responsibility will be to provide international tax planning, transactions, research, consulting, and compliance to high net worth individuals and their related entities. You will be in charge of due diligence process and analysis, inbound and outbound international tax planning and investment, subpart-F and foreign tax credit planning, transfer pricing, tax provision review and support, tax compliance review and support, tax planning and compliance as it relates to acquisitions and dispositions, multistate and international tax issues, coordination in drafting legal documentation, and implementation of tax planning structures. As an International Tax Senior Manager, you will be working closely with principals to develop global tax strategies for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Consult with clients on international transactions, uses of tax treaties and foreign investments, planning related to offshore investment activities and repatriation programs to minimize income taxes and global tax burdens on transactions and operations.
  • Provide technical tax consultation to internal and external clients on international tax matters related to deferred tax assets and liabilities, uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, rate reconciliation issues, APB 23, and foreign currency exposures.
  • Supervise the preparation of international tax compliance forms for client tax returns.
  • Develop and present topics pertaining to international tax subject matters to educate staff and clients.
  • Prepare and manage budgetary and time constraints while providing outstanding client support.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Accounting or related fields
  • CPA or JD required
  • Relevant work experience in Law, International Tax, and/or Real Estate
  • Exceptional client service skills
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently and master multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Work additional hours and travel to various client sites as needed
