Position Summary

As a Litigation Support/Forensic Accounting Supervisor at MBAF, your responsibilities will include planning, directing, and completing projects and services in litigation support, forensics and developing and managing staff. You will work closely with partners and staff on client management, practice and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide litigation support services to attorneys for both Petitioners and Respondents.
  • Collect and analyze financial information for marital dissolution cases, including but not limited to preparing schedules/exhibits for depositions, hearings, trials, etc.
  • Assist in the legal filings, preparation, responses of interrogatories, responses to mandatory disclosure and requests for production (including supporting schedules and documents).
  • Trace funds between banking, brokerage and mortgages for purposes of identifying assets and liabilities and source and usage of funds.
  • Prepare cash flow schedules.
  • Review documents to prepare analysis of income and expenses.
  • Analyze marital dissolution and financial issues including the preparation of net worth schedules, equitable distribution, standard of living and financial affidavit.
  • Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings and trial.
  • Meet and discuss with clients the income and expenses to prepare a standard of living analysis.
  • Review and research tax consequences to transactions.
  • Complete deposition and trial binders with all analysis for partner review.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, International Business or related field
  • Minimum
  • Must be certified in Financial Forensics or have CPA or CFE license
  •  Must have two+ years of experience in litigation support, business valuation, forensic accounting, specializing in matrimonial dissolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites
