Position Summary

As a Tax Senior at MBAF, your primary responsibility will be to deliver of a full range of tax services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. You will interact closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise. In addition, you will provide primary and secondary review of complex tax returns and develop and manage staff.  As a Tax Senior you will work closely with senior management and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities.

Responsibilities

Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra seeks a Tax Senior in Coral Gables, FL

  • Preparation of complex tax returns
  • Reviewing returns of all levels of difficulty
  • Growing our client base – developing new business opportunities
  • Perform diversified tax assignments under the direction of a Manager and/or Director
  • Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and firm standards
  • Suggest client tax planning ideas to Manager and/or Director, and assists Manager/Director in tax planning and research
  • Prepare routine correspondence to client for approval and signature of a partner
  • Writes comments for management letters

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 
  • Plus 2 years of experience. 2 years of experience in the following:
    • Public Accounting
    • CCH ProSystem Tax Software
    • CCH fx Engagement
    • AccountingCS
    • Big 4 Accounting
    • Expatriate compensation on US and Venezuela tax matters, including FATCA reporting, worldwide taxation and foreign tax credits
    • Specialization in FASB 109 & IAS12
    • Preparation for reporting foreign accounts and financial assets for OVDP and streamline (FBAR, 8938) and International Tax Planning expertise
  • Domestic travel to client sites required as needed
