Tax and Accounting Administrative Coordinator

Position Summary

The Tax Administrative Coordinator (TAC) performs various duties to support the tax operations of the firm.  The TAC is the primary point of contact for all tax documents in the NYC office.  The TAC supervises and coordinates the tax work flow system and process for the firm’s NYC office.


  • Maintains the XCM Work flow database in collaboration with designated partner and/or director assistance.
  • Primary point of contact for all tax workpaper documents for the NYC office.
  • Logs proper client info into XCM and distributes appropriate tax documents to scanners.
  • Collaborates with tax preparers and reviewers to ensure proper document routing and preparation.
  • Serves as initial quality control for all tax prep documents scanned.
  • Maintains client information in firm databases and systems as necessary.  
  • Implements E-filing processes for all tax returns for the NYC office (as appropriate) and corrects e-file rejections with support from Partners and CCH.
  • Provides research and support for firm projects as needed.
  • Monitors scan server for any conflicts or issues with DMS and informs IT department of any critical issues with the scan server and/or contact CCH Support directly.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Three+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant is required
  • Previous experience working in an accounting or professional services firm is preferred
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
