Position Summary

As a Senior Desktop Support Technician at MBAF, your primary responsibility will be to analyze requirements, resolve problems, install hardware and software solutions, and support the internal IT Desktop Support Team. You will be responsible for maintaining company PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment. Tasks include end user support, hardware and license tracking, and coordinating PC maintenance, upgrades, configurations, etc.


  • Guide desktop support staff through proper decision making and escalation.
  • Manage desktop and laptop imaging and deployments.
  • Maintain IT inventory and supplies.
  • Manage team schedules based on demand.
  • Provide first level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues.
  • Raise awareness of recurring issues to IT management for resolution.
  • Address high priority level issues quickly and thoroughly.
  • Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure of tickets.
  • Recommend procedure modifications or improvements.
  • Understand and apply firm policies and procedures.
  • Train and coach new staff.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields
  • Microsoft certification is desirable
  • Three+ years working in desktop support
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Work additional hours and travel to alternate office sites if needed
