Position Summary

As a Billing & Collections Clerk at MBAF, you will be responsible for providing support to the firm in its billing and collections efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to handle basic administrative and accounting functions (i.e. billing, collections, preparation of financial statements, and accounts payable)
  • Prepare bills and send to clients
  • Issue monthly accounts receivable statements to clients
  • Follow up on client collections through emails and phone calls
  • Responsible for keeping client contact information updated
  • Monitor billing progress including status reporting, collections, work-in-progress, and timekeeper set-ups
  • Strong  client service skills

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required (college degree preferred)
  • Two+ years of experience in high volume billing department
  • Experience using Great Plains (not required, but preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel 
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
