Position Summary

MBAF is looking for a Paraprofessional who is a proactive, team-oriented individual who possesses excellent communication, organizational, and people skills. This candidate must be able to adapt to a fast-paced, growing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping services for multiple clients including preparing checks, making bank deposits, reconciling monthly credit card, bank and security statements
  • Prepare monthly financial reports from Quicken and QuickBooks
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll
  • Prepare and file sales tax and payroll tax returns
  • Prepare monthly invoices and accounts receivable statements
  • Prepare work papers for year-end tax preparations; prepare forms 1099, 1096, W-2, and W-3
  • Back-up to Office manager
  • Assist with invoice preparation and deposit submissions as needed
  • Ability to multi-task between duties
  • Bookkeeping and QuickBooks experience is preferred
  • Computer skills- Excel, Word, QuickBooks

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Three+ years working as a Bookkeeper
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
