Position Summary

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for planning, documenting, and implementing technical projects requiring various areas of expertise, as well as monitoring, documenting, and maintaining existing systems.  They will lead an international team of engineers with the goal of maintaining and improving upon MBAF’s systems architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor existing systems to ensure integrity
  • Oversee the installation and implementation of infrastructure-related hardware and software
  • Collaborate with Security, Support, and Applications team leaders to achieve common goals
  • Develop custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention
  • Provide occasional tier 3 support
  • Experience with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Windows Server and Client
  • Understanding of various SAN technologies such as fiber channel, iSCSI, and NFS
  • Backup and DR for virtual environments
  • Understanding of routing and switching
  • Extensive experience managing Microsoft AD and Group Policy
  • Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server, Skype for Business, Exchange
  • Office 365 platform, Azure AD, Intune
  • Ability to work independently and think creatively
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions
  • Ability to adjust work schedule to complete projects or resolve critical issues
  • Demonstrates a professional attitude
  • Demonstrates a passion for technology and learning

Qualifications and Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • Seven+ years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and think creatively
  • Demonstrates a passion for technology and learning
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions
  • Ability to adjust work schedule in order to complete projects or resolve critical issues
  • Demonstrates a professional attitude
